Farmers Savings Bank & Trust will be holding its Annual Holiday Open House, Friday December 1st starting at 8:30 am until closing at 5:00 pm. We are proud to continue this holiday tradition of giving away Vinton Value Dollars to lucky winners as well as offering our guests the opportunity to sign up for a $3 donation to the local church of their choice. Vinton Parks and Rec has coordinated with the North Pole and has arranged a visit with Santa. Bring the kids to the Skate Center in Vinton on Saturday morning December 9th at 9:00 a.m. Santa will arrive at 10:00 a.m. so that the children can talk with him while mom and dad grab a photo. Support the Urbana Legion on Saturday, December 2nd, from 6:30 am to 11:00 am. The Urbana Legion will be serving biscuits and gravy, pancakes, sausage patties, eggs, orange juice, milk, & coffee. A freewill donation will be accepted.
Gingerbread House Contest at the Vinton Public Library
The Vinton Public Library will be holding its annual Gingerbread House Contest. The contest is open to all ages. Entries will be accepted from December 11th - 21st, 2023.Please include a display baseplate with your entry. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be announced on Friday, December 22, 2023/ VS Voyagers State Preview
Join the VS Voyagers as they perform their State Pom and State Hip Hop routines! The Benton Community and Center Point Urbana dance teams will be performing as well. This event will be on November 28, is at the VS Middle School. Attendance is free and open to the public. The doors open at 6:00 pm.
La Porte City Womens Club Christmas Tour of Homes December 10
La Porte City Women's Club will hold their annual Christmas Tour of Homes. The tour includes five homes in the La Porte City area that the homeowners have decorated for Christmas or maybe have a special story about the home. People are invited to tour all five of the homes for $10 on December 10th from 4:30-7:00 p.m. Tickets are available at any of the homes on the day of the event or at LPC Connect. Shellsburg Lions holding Bingo December 2, 6-8:00 p.m.
The Shellsburg Lions will be having Bingo at the Shellsburg Legion on December 2 from 6 - 8:00 p.m. The Legion will be serving food. Come and enjoy a great night out with family and friends.
